vi Toltzis is a NYLon intellectual property attorney. Yes, his practice includes litigation of synthetic polymers, as well other significant electrical and mechanical technology, but that is not this NYLon. This NYLon is the portmanteau formed by New York, USA and London, England — the jurisdictions where Avi is licensed to and has practiced law.

Since graduating from law school in 2008, Avi’s experience practicing in the two financial and cultural capitals of the Anglo-American world includes every facet of the process, from case inception through trial. On the other side of the ocean, Avi practiced for 5 years at Powell Gilbert in London, one of the UK’s leading intellectual property litigation boutique law firms.

Unsurprisingly, Avi often serves as a conduit between litigation teams in each country, bridging the gaps of two legal systems separated by a common language and tradition.

Avi is also licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Avi is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Leadership Committee. As part of the firm’s commitment to justice and the rule of law, Avi advocates for separated families of legitimate asylum-seekers.

While born and raised in the United States, Avi is an acknowledged expert on 1930s British photography. His favorite photographer of that era is Bill Brandt, something that often rankles aficionados of highly acclaimed shutterbugs Edwin Smith and Clifton R. Adams.
