The 2018 edition of the IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners said of our firm:
For companies embroiled in patent disputes that go right to the heart of their business, Fisch Sigler parts waves. Its professionals – all born-and-bred trial lawyers and artful technologists – work dynamically as a team to notch up wins in court and at the Federal Circuit for the likes of Amazon. The set’s intensity and creativity also frequently result in quick dismissals. The firmament’s brightest star is Alan Fisch, a fearless advocate with an unmatched passion for his craft.
The 2017 edition of the IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners said of our firm:
Winning jury trials is the signature move of Fisch Sigler; nothing can throw it off its A game, whether that be an unfriendly jurisdiction, seemingly impervious science or an army of lawyers on the other side. It has chalked up more defence victories in Marshall, Texas, than any other firm and a string of crucial wins at the Federal Circuit. Founding partner Alan Fisch is an IP trial lawyer with swagger, but he never gets ahead of himself. Respectful towards opponents, but a zealous advocate for clients, he has first-chaired litigations across the country and met with success every step of the way. Often called upon for insight by the press and a much-cited author, he has a broad perspective on IP protection which keeps him grounded in the heat of battle.
The 2016 edition of the IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners said of our firm:
Remarkably, Fisch Sigler represents more Fortune 1000 companies than it has lawyers — demand for its hotshot trial capabilities seems to reach a new all-time high every single day. Where many other firms are paralysed by a fear of losing — and putting their client relationships at risk — the compact group here boldly draws lines in the sand for clients whose business-critical products and services are under threat. Genius litigator Alan Fisch is the brains behind the operation. “Alan can do it all and go all the way. If he’s on your team, you can take on all comers — and kick some serious ass.”
The 2015 edition of the IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners said of our firm:
With every new trial win, Fisch Sigler finds its name splashed on the front pages; Federal Circuit victories for Papst Licensing and Pier 1 Imports, and rare defensive coups in the Eastern District of Texas for Gap and Barnes & Noble, are just some of the successes that made headlines in the past 12 months. The engine of this dynamic boutique is dashing trial lawyer Alan Fisch, whom “the patent world is lucky to have”. “He is dedicated to a mastery of all the basics, but has that key ingredient that a lot of people lack — a high degree of emotional intelligence. He understands people and never needs to prove himself to others. He is turning away cases and everyone wants what he’s offering — leading companies will switch to him from other firms when they need rescuing, because he simply knows how to execute.”
The 2014 edition of the IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners said of our firm:
“Supremely good at what it does“: high-stakes patent trials on either side of the docket. It has corralled instructions away from some of the established top-tier shops, and consequently has also received a great deal of interest from prominent practitioners looking to make a lateral move to a leaner, more nimble organisation. The group’s willingness and sheer ability to see things through at trial puts it in the driving seat when it comes to settlement negotiations. The lawyers’ compelling narrative skills are also on display at the appellate level and in alternative dispute resolution forums. The firm was established by swashbuckling litigator Alan Fisch — “someone you go to for a bet-the-company brief”. “He can evaluate the merits quickly and craft a strategic approach in order to get the win. Winning is what he does and he is never afraid to take on the hardest case.”
Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) magazine publishes the IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners. Individuals qualify for a listing in the IAM Patent 1000 when they receive sufficient positive feedback from peers and clients with knowledge of their practice and the market within which they operate.visit the IAM 1000
